The short version

The Pareto Fix is a cyberpunk tactical heist game about running the operation rather than pulling the trigger yourself.

Assemble a crew of specialists, gather intelligence, choose their equipment and plan the job. Then watch the plan meet reality.

When something goes wrong—and eventually, something will—you decide whether to intervene, change course or trust your Operators to handle it. You cannot be everywhere at once, and every decision may solve one problem while creating another.

Success is measured by the objective, not the body count. Get the job done. Get your people home. Leave the world fractionally less broken than you found it.

Some systems are working exactly as designed. That does not mean they should be left alone.

What to expect

  • Recruit and develop a crew of distinctive Operators, each with their own role, strengths and ways of changing a plan.
  • Gather intelligence, choose an approach and prepare the team before the job begins.
  • Watch operations unfold in real time and intervene at critical moments when events refuse to follow the blueprint.
  • Complete objectives and optional Directives without being rewarded for killing everything that moves.
  • Deal with injuries, arrests, mounting Heat and the consequences of decisions made under pressure.
  • Build and expand an underground agency where the crew’s lives continue between operations.
  • Find combinations the designer may come to regret allowing.

The Pareto Fix is built around planning, consequence and adaptation—not finding the one solution the game has decided is correct.
